The police officer enters the store and tells the protagonist that he has something to tell him, but the protagonist has rejected his offer. He is a member of the Siyou clan, and he is helping the suffering of the shanhai people, but he does not want to be involved in the protagonist's life. The protagonist tells the police officer that he misses his school's "jianbing" , a traditional Chinese snack, and that he is so free during the working hours that he can recite dishes. He tells the policeman that the protagonist is punctual for work and does not wake up late. He also says that the scar on the back of his hand has not healed yet, and the military police have priority in the line for him, so he must have received an IV drip. The police chief, the protagonist tells him, has a bad temper, and should go to the police station to clean the toilets.
