About This Chapter
This chapter's epigraph is from a poem called "The Ballad of the Golden-Haired Children." It's a poem about a golden-haired child who is defeated by a black-haired monkey. The monkey in question is the current incarnation of the evil mi wu, and he's not friendly with the golden-haired child. The current incarnation isn't invincible, though, and it's unclear whether or not the monkey has been injured by the current version of the monster. The only thing that can stop this is to rescue the monkey from the monster in front of him. He's got a lot of strength left, but he doesn't have the power to defeat the two monsters that are in the way of him, so he has to retreat. He apologizes for stopping them, but they have to retreat because the monkey killed a man named han. The six-eared monkey has also been killed, and the injuries to jiu-ying are very serious. They're going to have to go back and explain everything to each other after they get back. . They can't stop the beast from coming, and they don't even have enough power to stop it.
