About This Chapter
Mizutani wakes up in the middle of nowhere. He's not sure where he's been or what's going on. He doesn't know what to do. He can't figure out how to get back to the temple, and he'd like to find out what happened to okitsu. He also wants to know what happened with his master, and what he should do about it. He wants to find him, pronto. He tells himself that if he just sits around and does nothing, then he'll be fine. And if he starts acting like a jerk, then leave him alone. He asks if he could just find the flower, and if he can just change his mind, but he can only think of one thing: "what ami" . And what ami did to her? Um, what the heck did you do? He tells his master that he was just trying to get home when he fell asleep, and that's why he wakes up. He begs his master to carry him home, but his master won't do it, so he asks his brother-in-law if they can carry him back to his house. The two of them hug each other, and the narrator tells us that the act of finding the flower is "kindness" , which means that the person who finds the flower will be kind to everyone around him.
