He's worried that she'll freak out if he says no, but he'd rather not tell her. He wonders why the weather's been so bad, and he wonders if it's because they've gotten their phones out so they can't freeze to death outside. He also wonders why they haven't locked up the roof, and wonders if they should just chill out there for a little bit. Hotaruchan tells him that he hasn't been spending much time with his lunch lately, and worries that his body temperature is getting too high. He asks if he should let kurata worry about it, and she says that it seems like he has plenty to worry about. She's surprised that he got her text message, but she wonders if she's just jealous of his beauty. She wonders if he could grow out of his hair a bit, and if he would be a good match for her.
