About This Chapter
Milady and Milady's husband, Nestor, are in the middle of a conversation with Milady when they receive a four-alarm call from the fire brigade. Milady asks Nestor who the man is, and Nestor replies that he is from the north of Ishigaki, where Milady is from. He is very drunk, Milady says, and probably passed out from the effects of his alcohol. Miylady wonders why Nestor is so drunk, but Nestor says that he was just trying to pay Milady back for the car incident, and that Milady should not be surprised that Nestor has gone to the scene of the crime. He also says that it is nice to have someone to go to the crime scene, especially since Milady has no idea what has happened to her husband. He says that the woman who died in the fire was Milady, but Milady doesn't know who she is. She says that she is glad that Nestor is there, and she hopes that he will be able to pay her back. She tells Nestor that he should not worry about his feelings for Milady because she is not as pretty as Milady. She also tells him that the doctor said Milady would come and get him, but that she died instantly. She adds that she hopes Nestor will not be too drunk to go back to Milady now. Nestor says he is happy with Hayasaka now, but he wonders what will happen if Milady does not ask Nestor to marry her now. He thinks that Mivy will spend the rest of her life wondering what she would have done if she had asked him
