He thinks that this is Hiroyuki's chance to win back his wife's love, and that she is blowing it. He tells Hiroyuki that he is going to visit his friend, Marui, who is also visiting the hospital. He says that they are going to see Marui's boyfriend, but that he does not want them to talk too much in the hospital, because he wants to make sure that the story is good. He asks them to sit on the benches so that they do not get too close to each other, but they refuse to do so, saying that they have too much to talk about. They talk about how they have lived in the city all their lives, and how they always search for something exciting to do. They wonder if they would have gotten on the ride if they had not gotten on it.
