In this short scene, the young man and the older man discuss the situation in which they find themselves. The younger man is a model who has no luck finding a man to take his place. The older man is an actor who has not yet found a suitable suitor for himself. The young man introduces himself as a friend of the actor and asks him to introduce himself to the new model, Sawada. Sawada is a "total rookie and well, you know," but the younger man says that she is the "problem with models" because she is too young and inexperienced to be able to compete with the best of the best. He asks her how much she wants, and she replies that she wants "30,000" . He then asks her if she wants to go to the next "hakone," and she responds that she does not want to go anywhere at all. She then asks him if he has spent 28.000 on a taxi, and he replies that it would be a waste of 28.000 to just come home. He says that he is going to "enjoy the hot springs" , but they decided that he was "one" and that this was a "reward for myself." He asks his father to take him to the "ryokan," and he says that it is his fault that he drinks alone there. He also says that if he never does anything right, he will quit his job. He wants to "wave for women," "youth wave and beauty," but he can never do that with someone he doesn't love. He wishes that he could have a normal job, because at his age it would not get him the job anyway. He is done with writing screen plays.
