About This Chapter
In this chapter, we are introduced to Zhuang, the protagonist of the game, and his mother, Ling-ling. We learn that he has successfully completed the first phase of the "infinite trials." In this phase, all remaining players are to be sent to "random dimensions" to complete a series of tasks. If a player fails to complete the tasks, he or she will be erased from the game forever. In other words, if a player dies in the course of completing a task, the player will never be able to play the game again. This is a major change from the previous generation of games, in which players were forced to live in a world where they were constantly at risk of being killed. In this new game, however, the players will be given the opportunity to live as normal people. This means that they will not have to worry about being killed by monsters. In fact, they will have the chance to use their experience points and equipment to become stronger and more powerful.
