In this short scene, the young narrator, Roxane, and her friend, Victor, are reunited. The narrator is overjoyed to be back with his friend. He tells her that he is going to study medicine in America. He asks her to introduce him to her parents on his 25th birthday. She tells him that she wants to live with him while he studies abroad. He protests that it would be impossible for them to live together, but she assures him that they will be able to do so. She then tells him about her brother, who is studying medicine in the U.S.
