After three years of captivity by a savage, Tran Chih-Chee is finally able to speak. He complains that he is in pain and that he has been kept by the savages for three years. He begs the savage to stop jerking and shaking him and to stop making him do things that he does not want to do. He says that he wants to slap him and slap him slap back, but he is afraid to do so because he is scared of the sound of the slap. He asks the savage if he has a jingle that he can use to test him. The savage laughs and says that they will have to play with the jingle until they have a jingle suitable for him.
