The chapter opens in a different room in the boys' dormitory. It's actually a very different room from the one in which Sora and Tranh have been living for the past three years. Tranh has been sent to a school to reform himself. Sora asks Tranh why he's been sent away, and he tells her that Tranh strained himself so much that he wanted to beat her, but Tranh didn't have the nerve to do it himself. He was destroyed easily by Tranh's superior intellect. So she tries to get Tranh to tell her why, but he won't tell her. She tells him that she's with Tranh right now, and that they've run their course. She grabs him and tells him to stop trying to run away with her, because she'll tell him what she wants when she gets home.
