The next morning, the narrator wakes up to find that his wife has left the house barefoot. He asks his wife if she knows where she is, and she says she doesn't. The narrator tells his wife to send him a picture of her on social media, so that he can find her. He tells her to be fine, because if she sees the picture and gets embarrassed, she might ask him to delete it. He says he knows how precious his wife is to him, and he apologizes for his behavior. He goes to work and tells his co-worker that he's sorry he kissed his wife on the "spur of the moment" , but he wants to settle the matter with his wife first.
