This chapter opens with a soliloquy by Soji about how he loves his moles and how he likes everything he likes. Soji is happy when he's being himself, and he teaches me that there's a lot of stuff that I couldn't even see from living honestly myself. Thanks to him, says Soji, that I can be true now. Thanks a lot, says Yuko. It's been a while since Yuko was a student, but she's happy to be back in her hometown. Yuko thanks him for being such a good person, and says that this is her first time coming to love her past self. She hugs him, and they go home together.
