About This Chapter
The other three return triumphantly, except for the failure of dao-yan. Senior brother dao tells his sister that he is losing control of the situation. He tells her that the sect master had gone to talk to the wentian stream about the matter, but he had said that "magic is ruthless" and that he would make the opponent pay for it. He promises her not to act rashly, and she tells him that she came early to cheer him on. She tells him she is hungry and that she can help him to say a few words to the opponent. She says that if she crawls out from underneath her, she can speak to him and show him some mercy. He says that he cannot beat the opponent, but that his health is not good enough to do so. He asks her to check out the beauty of the square. He wonders why his body can't move, and wonders how the disciples could erase their memories after the sun rose. He wants to take the disciples back and put them back in their place after the game, but his sister tells him to calm down. They meet again, and he tells his brother that he just saw the other taoists possessed. He warns him that he will kill him today if he can.
