In this chapter, we learn that the fish demon is young, although he's still just a kid. He's got a bag of potatoes to take with him, but the fish can't eat them because of the fast water in the river. He tells the kid to take the fish as a reward for the return of the sweet potatoes. The kid is all, "What big talk?" . He says the river is dangerous, and the fish should be eaten. He also says that he can find food himself, but since the river isn't safe, he'll have to send all the fish to the families in the area to eat. This is a big deal, because there are so many families in this area, and it's not safe for them to eat fish. The fish kid says, "Why don't all you fish to eat?" , and then the fish kid starts to freak out. He starts to worry that there's some kind of fish demon in the water, or something, that's causing the fish kids to get sick, or whatever. He thinks he can run away, but then he remembers that he has just cultivated his human form, which means he'd have to fight with all his strength against the fish-demon in one go. So, he decides to try his best to dodge the fish, but it'll be too much for him to handle. He asks for forgiveness, and says that it took him a hundred years to transform into this form, and that he hasn't really hurt anyone. But, he says, in the future, they'll need to send him 100 fish every day, as his order, to make up for the loss of the 100 fish.
