The monk tells the Senior that the place is inside of the cold spirit stone. The Senior must leave the place when he is fully absorbed by the energy. The monk explains that he ate a white fruit, which changed his fate. He began to cultivate his body under the monk's guidance for ten thousand years, and finally he broke through to the final realm. Because of his perseverance, the monk decided to save him from his heavenly tribulation. He gave him the name of Ling Tongzi, which means "little monkey." The Senior tells the story of how he came to be an immortal in a body of a Macque. The Grand Master arranged for him to guard the gates of the Divine Mansion where he lived. Unfortunately, one day, a guest came, and the Senior brothers became arrogant and irritated. The guest smashed the Grand Master's beloved thing, but somehow the two brothers became sworn brothers. The senior tells the monk that he gave his magic item to the Senior, which saved the Senior's life many times. He says that he does not know what will happen to him in the future, but the Senior reminds him that he was sent to mortal life to suffer loneliness from six thousand years.
