In this chapter, the eunuch tells the reader that he will not accept another position in the army. He asks the reader not to decline another position. He also tells the story of how he was banished to the tai mausoleum and how he lost all his weight and got caned. He tells us that he is getting married and that his brother, who was a prisoner, has escaped. He wants to find his brother and send someone to find him.
