Several months have passed, and Gleifner is still mad. He tells Eldir that he hasn't seen her for a long time, and even her sisters say that she seems to have changed her behavior. Eldir is worried that Diggory will die if they send him back to the sea, and that he'll need to go back to his own kind to defend himself. The newts don't like to swim in freezing waters, so they're going to have to kill Blodughadda pronto. Eldar says that they've got her in a safe place, and Diggory's got a wound to his arm. He swears to never abandon her, and asks where they are going. He asks where his mother is, and she says that her father is sick, and needs his jellyfish healing powers.
