The narrator tells us that he's going to the Hong Kong International Literary and Artistic Competition. He's worried about how he'll be recognized if he gets recognized. He also wants to know if he can win first prize in any of the competitions. He asks if the first prize will give him half of the prize money. The narrator then tells us about the floating boat that's being used as a meeting place between the sixth brother and Miss chu second. The sixth brother is trying to get to the shore, but he can't because there's no way to squeeze through the crowds of people at the convention. He wants to go to the other side of the dock to meet the woman, but she's nowhere to be found.
