This chapter opens with a conversation between Hiroyuki and his wife, Amiya. Hiroyuki tells Amiya that she has told him that she wants to leave her job so that she can start a family. He tells her that he and Amiya have been married for a while, and that he thinks that they have achieved a lot in their marriage. Amiya tells him that her parents keep pestering her and Hiroyuki for children, and she flinches at his business, but he says that she never seemed to want to quit his job because she loves it. He says that he cannot believe that Amiya would want to leave because of the pressure from her parents, and he asks if she would ask him not to make assumptions about their matters. He asks if he would be able to use his wife as his personal unmodel if she did not want him to use her as a model. He replies that he could use anyone else as his model, but that his wife has been using him as a man who does not like to be used as an unmodel. He adds that he has not been late for work, and this is why he is not unhappy. He then asks if Amiya has said that she does not want to be separated from him, and if she does, he would ask her to stop making excuses about their affairs. He also says that if they do not agree to divorce, he will force them to do so by mutual agreement.
