About This Chapter
The pharmacist tells his boss that he's been having an affair with another woman. The boss is all, "What the heck are you doing? You can do whatever you want." The pharmacist tries to explain that he doesn't love the other woman. He's always tried to be the kind of woman he likes, but she's the type of woman that he hates. He wants to destroy her, he says. The pharmacist says that the staff from his office will be coming to work the next day, and he'll be counting on them all. He thanks the pharmacist for his help, and the pharmacist tells him that he can have a drink or a walk and talk about whatever he wants. When the pharmacist asks what's up, the woman says that her husband is off for a few days, and she'd like to talk to him about something. She tells the pharmacist that she and her husband have been working together for a long time, and that it's time for him to stop. The woman says she'll stop working when her husband's gone, but the pharmacist says, "I'm not a liar, I'm just tired." He says that he and his wife have been married for so long that they haven't had time to have a baby. He tells the woman that his boss, shinozaki, has been trying to get her pregnant.
