About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the protagonist is the son of a member of one of the most powerful families in Japan, the Tenma clan. The protagonist's father is the head of that clan, and the protagonist has just received tickets to a concert by the band Lubos. He is overjoyed at the prospect of seeing his son perform, but he is also jealous of the second-in-command of the clan, who is also a fan of the band. He tells the protagonist that the boss has asked him to be the escort to the concert, and that he has to go because the boss wants him to do so. When the protagonist asks why he is being asked to go, the boss replies that he is glad to have the date with him, but that the date is too lightly described. He then asks the protagonist to buy him some concert-related merchandise, which the protagonist readily agrees to do. He goes on to say that his father found the second in command and brought him home when he was very young, so he was able to get attached to him quickly. He says that the only thing he will ask of him is that he leave the house and live a "normal life." The protagonist says that he will leave the matter in the hands of his father, who will make the protagonist give up on his "foolishness."
