He is shocked to learn that the young man is not going back to his childhood home, but is instead living with his friend, whom he calls "Mah" . He asks if the friend really wants him to stay, and the man replies that he does not want him to leave. He then asks if this is what it means for a grown-up to be an adult, and he is shocked again to find out that the friend is not really in love with him, but rather, he is treating him like a child
