He's just trying to be more honest, he tells satomi. He says that he knows he could satisfy the rector's needs, but he doesn't know how to do it. He wants to talk to satomi about the rejection he got from her earlier. He also wants to tell her something that she already knows: that he was rejected by her earlier, and that she told him about it.
