Little Em'ly comes out of her hiding place and tells her mother that she's tired and needs to go back to her room. She tells her mom that she doesn't want to go to the party because her mom is angry and she can't stand to be around her mother. She also tells her that her mom has asked her to take her home for dinner, but she'll have to wait until the following evening. She's worried about her mom's anger and wants to be with her. When she finds out that she can go home alone, she
