It's the middle of the school year, and Julian's mom finds out that he's been doodling about love. She's totally grossed out, and she deletes all of his drawings before he ever returns home. He's so angry that he runs away from the house. His mom comes home and scolds him for being such a dirty person. She tells him to go away and not come back. He runs away and thinks about why he hasn't come home for a while. He even makes excuses for her. He doesn't go home, though, because he thinks it's too cowardly for her to come see him for so long. He goes to his mom's house and tells her to stop talking about the whole thing. Then he goes to the teacher's conference and tells his mom to just hug him. He wants to run away, but his mom won't let him do it. He tells her that she can hug him as long as she likes. She hugs him back and tells him that he can just pick a nice little island and run away. He says that's a good idea, and then he goes off to pick up his box of clothes and shoes to wear to a comic book show.
