About This Chapter
In this short scene, Hye-sung delivers a soliloquy in which he laments the fact that she has not attended any editorial meetings for three years. He tells her that he has sent her an e-mail with the details of an upcoming article, which he plans to publish in the next issue of the paper. He then launches into a tirade against her appearance, claiming that her "default outfit" was "this bad" and that she is "all my fault" for not showing up to the editorial meetings. He asks her to "just talk about work" and to "drink up" , and she responds by saying that she needs some water. She then tells him that she lost her virginity when she was in love with a man, and that her mother was worried about her for a year, but that she did not leave her side for another year. She says that she gave everything to the woman because she liked her, but her mother told her that she was "playing with my feelings" and left him for another man because she wanted to "fly higher" . She adds that she will never see the man again because he is "a stranger" and they will never be able to communicate with each other again
