About This Chapter
The monster tells Gulliver to get back into the boat, but Gulliver is too scared to do so. He tries to paddle back to the ship, but the monster waves him off. Gulliver thinks the monster is sad, but he doesn't know what to make of it. The monster says that he's trained to go to the bathroom, but that the girl is annoying him as an adult. Gulliver tells the monster that his daughter is a gold digger, and that he can't let the girl get away. The girl is washing across the alley, and Gulliver thinks that she's sending him this way. He taps the water, and the monster realizes that they're about to sink. Gulliver tries to calm the monster down, telling him to stay calm and not to get into a fight with the girl. He also tells him to think about the dumplings that are being sold at the market.
