The chapter opens with a flashback to the beginning of the previous chapter. In this flashback, we see that Hiroshi has shrunk in size, and we also see that the two of them are playing cards together. We learn that they are planning to go swimming in the morning, and Hiroshi wonders why they haven't been taking swimming lessons in the past, since they've been living in the U.S.
