The next morning, the girls are all excited to see their friends back at school. They talk about the weather, and about how nice it is to be outside all day. They all agree that it's nice to be out and about, and that it was nice for a guy like marlin to crash into a park bench. They also agree that the next day is going to be a good one for the girls, because they'll be able to show their friends all the new clothes they have been wearing. They wonder why they haven't been able to see what's going on with their brother, and they wonder if he's just been feeling a little worn out lately. They tell each other that they'd like to see him reveal himself to them, but that's hard for him to do, because he doesn't want to hurt anyone. They both wonder if they can expect a new card from the girl soon, because she's been creating new cards all this time, and it hasn't always been so good. The last time the card was made, the book didn't last very long. This time around, the girl and the girls have the power to create new cards, which is why they can't help each other.
