He is also disappointed to learn that the author of the book is a different author than that of the famous "alice in wonderland." He is pleased that the book contains a "different author" from that of "the famous alice" in "wonder land," but he does not know where the ship is located. The narrator is pleased to see that he has taken off work for the day, and that he is looking forward to the next weekend. He tells the reader that he wants to be the first to go to the park, because it is "prime time," and because he is not with the brat. He wonders why he has to wait so long for the two of them to be alone, and wonders if there is a "thin 'weird' thing that could happen to them again. He realizes that his father gave him the botanical gardens to use with someone special, and wishes he had known about them when he gave them to him.
