In this chapter, the reader is introduced to a new character, a card-carrying member of the U.S. Secret Service. He is called "Sakura" because of his ability to use cards. He tells us that he is the first person in the world to use a card of his own, and that he has used cards from all over the world. He also tells us about his encounter with Seyoran kun, who is a gifted sorcerer, and about the other members of the Secret Service who have also used cards of their own. When he asks about the whereabouts of Sakura, he is told that she is at the botanical gardens. He asks to speak with her, and she tells him that she will tell him what is wrong after he arrives at the siege. She tells him to knock on her door, and when he does, she will give him a detailed account of what has happened.
