The moon refuses to come to the rescue of the boy, and he begs to be let out of the hiding place. He begs the moon not to kill him, but the moon does not heed his pleas. The boy realizes that the moon is full of huff and asks the moon to rustle some footsteps to help him escape. The moon, however, refuses to listen to his pleas, and the boy is forced to flee.
