In this chapter, we learn that the demon has infected the body of Regan with the breath of the demon, and that Regan's health has suffered. Regan tells the monster that he should tell the truth about what has happened to him, but Regan is afraid that he will be hated by his master. Regan promises to give him a single pill of the antidote every month, which will keep him strong for the rest of his life.
