About This Chapter
This chapter's epigraph is from the opening lines of Act IV, Scene 1 of the play: "You must feel happy, right? How is the taste?" This is a reference to the fact that the audience is about to find out that the protagonist is a demon king. This is because the protagonist wants to become the king of the undead. The protagonist tells the audience that he will never die, that the demon will never destroy him, and that he has entered the body of the demon that has let him go. He tells the protagonist that his people can take him out to the underworld and kill him. He says that he came to reveal what has become like "listic illusion" about the demon. He asks the protagonist if he still thinks that he can do anything without power. He wonders if he can be filled with the demon breath, and if the demon can control everything. He also asks the kid if he is angry at the demon because of the breath. The kid answers that he is, and the protagonist says that only a "flip of the hand" can make the whole world crazy. He then tells the kid that he just needs to kill the demon in a short time. He explains that he cannot release any of his power in the forbidden zone because there is an "inferior who is
