In this short scene, Yao'er tells her mother that she must watch over her brother, Ming-liang, and make sure that he never removes his hair tie. She also tells her that she should try recalling her childhood memories of her brother. She wonders why she can't remember some things about him, like when he was called "ziqi" or why he is called "mu sheng" . When she sees that he is bleeding, she thinks that it is blood. She tells him that she will bring food for his mother tomorrow. . She asks him if he has any thoughts on the previous day's story. He says that he has doubts about his birth and that he and miao have noticed that in the story, male and female lead their lives to slay monsters.
