About This Chapter
In the third year of his education, Gulliver receives an admission letter informing him that he will be attending school as a freshman in the class of "Class 3." He does not expect to be bullied at school, but he does not know how to react to the news. He introduces himself as "ling ce" and introduces his new classmates as "ms. ting" and "tank" , respectively. He tells the other students that he has come to school because of "several family reasons" and that he remembers one of the "well-known students" in high school who "gave quite trouble" at the school. The other students mock Gulliver's appearance, calling him a "brat," a "white-haired brat," and a "hypocrite" . After the students leave, Gulliver wonders why he had to endure the "bully-freshman" story. He realizes that he was bullied because he was not a "top student in class" and because no one loved him or cared about him.
