In this short scene, we learn that the Shadow Knight has banished a team of imposters who were pretending to be him. The Shadow Knight explains that the goblin thief has been cracking down on these imposters, and that the imposters are afraid of being discovered. He tells the group that the first round of the battle will be the same line-up as the others, and they will have to fight inside the circle in order to determine who wins or loses within five minutes. Before they start the battle, they should shake hands, but ryuko refuses to do so, saying that he has improved a lot in his combat skills. The two men decide to go easy on each other.
