If he keeps wandering around, then he'll kill himself as well as anyone who cares about him. Bi reminds him that taoyuan was created by gods to protect humans and sprites, and if he comes to himself, he will be able to do the same. He also reminds Bi that if he wakes up, everything will be reset, and the world will revert back to its initial state. This is what sima wants: a free world where sprites and mortals can coexist, and where everyone will be safe. Bi asks if they can ever meet again, and he says he should have at least said goodbye to him when he went out.
