Three thousand years ago, a sprite named Bi-Wen was badly injured in battle and had to be brought to the Ming society. Since the healing spell was cast on him by human taoists, he has been unable to heal. He wonders if the Ming can remove the spell on him, but he is afraid that they will not be able to forgive him for what he has done.
