In the middle of the night, a sprite named "ling xiao" wakes up. He's been imprisoned by the villagers for so long that he doesn't even know that he's a sprite. He tells the sprite that he is a "high-level mountain spirit" , and that the villagers shouldn't be so cruel to him. The sprite says that it's time for the villagers to let him go back to being a normal person again.
