In the middle of the night, the Governess wakes up from a dream. She's in the hospital with her sister, who's just woken up from her nightmare. The Governess wants to know what's wrong with her brother-in-law, but she can't figure out why he's treating her like a brat. She wants to get to the bottom of the matter, and she's worried about her brother's health. The doctor tells her that his heart is failing and that he'll have to go back to the hospital soon. She has some money, so she'll take care of it herself. She tells her sister to be gentle with girls, because no girl likes her. She also tells her to try to refine the pill so that she can get on the train again.
