In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character named "Tang zheng" , a student at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the most powerful man on campus. He used to be the number one student in the city, but he has fallen into poverty and is now living in a hutong in the town of Pengcheng. We learn that his grandfather is still alive, and that he is still very fond of him. He tells us that he wants his grandfather's body to be buried today.
