He wants to take it for the sake of beggars, and the locksmith tells him that he's a lousy beggar who's just trying to stab them in the back, so they should just go grab the treasure and kill him. The kids are shocked to see that the locksmith is there, and they think that he was right to save their lives last time. They're even more shocked when they realize that it's not just the locksmith that's trying to kill them, but the "Adversity Body" mentioned in the legends. They need to kill him ASAP, they say.
