The guards of the tombs are swarming with goblins. Duanjin promises his father that he can show him the way to the coffin chamber. He wonders if his father would have guessed that there was a big imperial palace there. The guards leave, and the leader of the goblins tells him that they are the "shuras" of greed. Many people have come to find the tomb, and many have lost their lives. If they do not get rid of these goblins, they will become their food. The leader tells his son that the scrolls in the tomb are the secret scrolls and the technique scrolls. He says that he has never seen them before, and that he is sure that he will soon be rich.
