This chapter opens with a conversation between Duanzhong and his son chunfeng, in which the elder Duan tells his son that he has heard rumors that his son is a good swordsman and that he must come and greet his senior brother. Duan is confident that the rumor is true, but he is worried that xiao sect is strong enough to resist his son's attack. He says that he will not leave empty handed, and he asks his son to stop splashing poison on him and to offer sacrifices for his lord's arrival. He also says that swash buzz is expected of a sword body, and that the son will be able to go far after practicing for a few days. He then tells the son that there are 24 sword lakes in Cangjian peak, but only three lakes are more special, namely the swords of the first and second leaders of the sect, and the legend of the sword that no one knows where it is. He explains that the first leader's sword is extremely dangerous, but the second and third leaders' swords are even more dangerous, because they are upside swords. The elder duan says that the sword of the second leader is the one that he saw once, but that he did not say anything about its position. He tells the boy that it is not that easy for him to escape from his father's grasp, and asks him to leave.
