The chapter opens with a warning that the magical beasts have been poisoned. The elder brother, who is also a martial master, demands that his younger brother give him all the cores of the beasts. He is worried that if the elder brother absorbs too many, he will die. He asks the younger brother to wait for him to finish absorbing the cores, and then he runs away. He hears the noise of the poison spreading, and he wonders who the elder is. He wonders if the poison will ever end, and wonders if there are talented disciples in the sect to handle it. He tells the elder that the heroes have also come to fight, and that the battle is truly a huge one. He says that he knows that he is strict with his disciples, but that he doesn't want them to handle the battle in the sky because he does not want to be accountable to the leader. He feels that he cannot move because of his spiritual qi, and asks someone to help him. He thinks that the second elder's disciple, Huolian and Lulian, are the ones who are fighting, and they look tough, but they are not as strong as the other two. He and his sister can still fight at best, he says, because they have absorbed so many of the beast's cores.
