Cai tells Miss Jessel that he's been in prison for killing his family. He tells her that the death games are about to begin, and that every prisoner in the prison will be his opponent. Cai says that he refuses to participate in the games because he is a grey man. He says that only three prisoners will survive out of hundreds of prisoners. He's looking forward to the games.
