This chapter opens with a flashback to the events of the previous chapter, in which we learn that the three chief of the scarlet loop, the traitor, and the traitor's son have all gone to the town of Tongrong to celebrate an anime event. The flashback reveals that the town has become a place where strange people come and stay for a few days before returning to their normal lives. This is a dangerous place for normal people, but it's not dangerous for the "damned greys" who still treat the town like a "place for entertainment" . The two men go to check on the whereabouts of the traitor and find out that he's been staying at a hotel in the north of the town. They've been hiding out there for a long time, and they've never told anyone about it. The men are shocked and angry that the traitor is staying at the hotel and that they haven't heard anything from him since he was last seen alive. They decide to kill the traitor once they get back to the city.
