In this chapter, Ren tells us that the immortals live in the heavenly tomb, and that the only purpose of the tomb is to break the relationship between Ren and his master. Ren wants to be an immortal too, but he also wants to stay young forever so that he won't have to worry about being an immortal. He tells Ren that he'll do everything in his power to get Ren out of the hovel, even risking his life, so that Ren can see his master's true colors. Ren tells him that they're not the only ones in this matter, and Ren warns him that it'll be much harder for Ren to see through his master if he's intentionally trying to deceive Ren. Ren says that he fell for Ren's deception, since Ren purposely brought them here to deceive him. They need to figure out a way to escape the fog formation, which will dissipate after an hour or so in the morning. Ren and Ren can leave, but they'll have to wait until the fog dissipates before they can leave. Ren is worried that the various forces fighting for the tomb will come after them once the battle is over. He knows that he and Ren will have to spend a month traveling to make the other forces believe that they are dead.
